Savormark — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Savormark mobile application ("Savormark", "the app"), operated by Samantha Au ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Savormark. The app includes content related to alcoholic beverages and is intended for adults. By using it, you confirm you meet the age requirement.

2. Your account

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • One person per account; don't impersonate others or misrepresent who you are.

3. Your content

  • You own your content. You keep ownership of the photos, reviews, recipes, comments, and other content you post ("Your Content").
  • You grant us a licence. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content within the app for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or retained as required by law.
  • You're responsible for what you post. You confirm you have the rights to everything you post and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. If you credit a recipe via a link, you're responsible for using that source appropriately.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate
  • Post spam, scams, or misleading information
  • Harass, bully, impersonate, or violate the privacy of others
  • Promote dangerous, illegal, or irresponsible consumption of alcohol
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems
  • Scrape or harvest other users' data

We use automated and manual moderation and may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms.

5. Reporting and moderation

You can flag posts and comments you believe break these Terms. We review reports and may remove content or take action against accounts at our discretion. Comments may be screened automatically before they post.

6. Drinks & alcohol disclaimer

Savormark lets users log and review alcoholic drinks. Nothing in the app encourages excessive or underage drinking. Always drink responsibly and in accordance with the laws where you live.

7. AI features disclaimer

Savormark offers AI-generated suggestions (recipe ideas, ingredient extraction, recommendations). These are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always use your own judgement — especially regarding allergies, dietary restrictions, food safety, and ingredient accuracy. We don't guarantee AI output.

8. Subscriptions (Savormark Pro)

Savormark Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks paid features such as the AI tools. The current price and billing period are always shown in the app before you buy.

  • Billing — payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store when you confirm the purchase. We never see or store your card details; Apple handles all payment processing.
  • Free trial — new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
  • Auto-renewal — your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancelling — manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you've already paid for.
  • Refunds — purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. To request a refund, use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Lapsed subscriptions — if your subscription ends, Pro features lock again but your account, posts and data are unaffected.
  • Price changes — if prices change, existing subscribers are notified and handled according to App Store rules before any new price applies.

9. Termination

You can stop using Savormark and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any lawful reason. Some content may persist as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by users is accurate or reliable.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law (including the Australian Consumer Law, if it applies to you).

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
